Magnitude 6.2 quake strikes Kerman province

KERMAN, Dec. 12 (MNA) – An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck northeast of Kerman, a provincial capital in Iran.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties in the quake, which hit at a depth of 57 km, near the town of Hejdak.

Another quake hit western Iran on Monday, in the same region where a magnitude 7.3 earthquake killed at least 600 people last month. There have been no reports of deaths or injuries from Monday's quake.
